Domestic Violence Training

Domestic Violence and Strangulation

Tuesday, June 6, 12:00 – 2:00 pm in the Compass Center.

This Training is for “helping professionals” that will come in contact with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and strangulation. The presentation will focus on the medical aspects of these assaults. We will address the effects of domestic violence, trauma and strangulation on the brain Strangulation is considered the most lethal and insidious form of domestic violence.

Say Goodbye to Shame—Learn to Accept Yourself

Do you ever feel isolated even when others are around?   Have you ever thought, “would they really love me if they knew the real me?”  If the answer is yes, you are likely experiencing shame!  Shame is a common human experience that can isolate us from others and keep us thinking we are not enough.  It is possible to break through shame!  At this workshop you will learn what shame is, where it comes from and truth and skills to transform this emotion so you can live more joyfully.

Perfectionism—The Burden We Don’t Have to Bear!

Are you plagued by a desire to be perfect?  Like so many, are you stuck in the cultural trap of making yourself good enough?   Do you want to be free of that burden?   There is a better way!

Join us to learn truths and skills to help you let go of perfectionism.
